It was amazing. I’m making it again right now. ~ Nick

Bread machine rosemary bread smells amazing as it’s baking.  When it’s done the bread is firm and tastes of rosemary.

It’s perfect for sandwiches.  I’ve used it for ham sandwiches (and those were good), but rosemary bread is really great when paired with chicken or turkey.

The Man of the House also likes to have rosemary bread for a snack.  He toasts it and then slathers it with cream cheese.  Yes, it’s as good as it sounds.

Rosemary Dinner Rolls

Are you a fan of rosemary? Want to make some dinner rolls that will make people stop and take notice?  Then try this rosemary dinner roll recipe.  The flavor is amazing!

Rosemary Facts

Did you know that rosemary is a member of the sage family?  I sure didn’t.  Hmmm . . . I wonder how this recipe would taste with sage instead of rosemary.  I’ll have to give it a try.

Rosemary is a drought-tolerant plant, making it popular for use in landscaping.  Right now I have two rosemary plants outside and a small one in my kitchen window.

Rosemary has been used as a symbol for rememberance during funerals and commemorations.

Making Bread Machine Rosemary Bread

This makes a two-pound loaf of bread.  Use the basic setting with medium crust.

You can use dried rosemary and the bread will taste fine.  However, if you have a rosemary plant I advise that you use fresh rosemary.  The fresh herbs make a difference in the flavor.

rosemary

Start by mixing the milk and the egg in a bowl or 2-cup measuring cup. If you’re using dried rosemary, add the herb to the milk-egg mixture to rehydrate it.

Follow the instructions that came with your bread machine in terms of which ingredients to put in the machine first.

Make sure you check on the dough after five or ten minutes of kneading.

Pop the top of the bread machine and see how the dough is doing.  It should be a smooth, round ball.  If it’s too dry add liquid a teaspoon at a time until it looks right.  If it looks too wet, add flour a tablespoon at a time until it looks right.
