Molasses Oatmeal Bread Recipe — 20 Comments

  1. According to my Hamilton Beach manual, one cup of bread flour equals 120 grams. Three cups would therefore be 360 grams. But this recipe says 375 grams for three cups of bread flour. The conversions are different for different types of flour in my manual. Can someone clarify this issue, please. I prefer using the gram unit whenever possible.

  2. I’m a new subscriber. I’ve had a few mishaps with other recipes so I’m looking forward to your tips. I want to try to oven bake after dough rises in machine. How long does it need to rest after I’ve reshaped the loaf and put it into the baking pan for the conventional oven? I’d appreciate your comments! Thanks!

    • I actually bake all the bread in the machine, so I’ve never done this. However, I’ve read to let it rise for 45 minutes to an hour and a half. Let me know if this works for you.

  3. I just made this bread I have NEVER made a bread with Little to no crumb before! This is great. I used the whole wheat setting on my BM and used whole wheat bread flour also increased water 1/4 cup+2 TBLS.

  4. Looking for a Honey Oat bread machine recipe that uses oat flour and quick or old fashioned oats. Any ideas? I can not seem to adapt my Honey wheat recipe to work well in my Breadman machine on quick wheat setting.
