This recipe is fantastic. I added an extra 1/2 tsp of water during the mix cycle. It’s a beautiful looking loaf of bread.

Wow, just made this bread with dinner tonight and it was awesome! I did have to add about three tbsp of water as the dough was mixing as it did seem to be somewhat dry but once I did that it mixed just fine. I also added a little dry mustard and parmesan cheese like the Chef above suggested. It was delicious – my husband and I both loved it and yes, we did taste the cheese flavor. I’ve now made about four of your recipes and they’ve all turned out great. Thanks so much for sharing all of them!

  3. I used this recipe but with shredded pepper Jack. It uh s absolutely delicious! The bread us SO soft. I’ll be making this bread again and again!

  4. OK Just completed making this bread as instructed with the addition of basil and oregano condiments Taste almost like Italy!

  5. Just a couple of tips from a retired Chef, Nice recipe but 2 added ingredients would make a massive difference, add a level teaspoon of DRIIED English mustard (mustard with cheese is like salt with potatoes, a perfect marriage of seasoning) and a handful of freshly grated parmesan.

  6. I made this using Habanero Cheddar cheese from Costco. It was amazing. Hubby loved it toasted because the flavor really comes out then. Love your website. This is the 3rd recipe I’ve tried and all were great. I have the same machine as you. I’m making Rosemary Bread now. Will let you know how it comes out. Thank you for sharing ❤️

  7. Can I add pepperoni to this recipe without adjusting water, salt, etc
If not, please advise, and how much pepperoni should I add?
I have the Virtuoso 2lb machine.
    Thanks

  8. I’ve been looking all over for a recipe like this. My favorite bread recipe was in a book that seems to have been ‘lost’. It had all these ingredients and also some garlic salt. I’ll try with a 1/2 tsp to start and go from there. It called for the cheese to be semi-melted in the warm milk (microwaved). The warm bread with butter melted was great. BUT, the slices toasted with butter melted was the best in the world.

  9. Try putting cheese in at raisin setting and it won’t be so mixed in that it gets lost in the dough. I also put some shredded cheese on top after the mixing stops. Gives a nice cheesy topping.

  10. Made this bread this week – rose to the top of my machine & would have gone higher if it could! The flavor is great, and it came out nice & moist. I did add a tablespoon of flax seed (love those Omega 3s) and a tablespoon of dried minced onion. Will definitely keep making this bread!

  11. On your Cheese Bread Recipe you omitted to say what setting to make it on. Could you please let me know as I really want to make this bread!

  12. I just made the cheese bread using a blend of Monterey Jack, Asadero, queso quesadilla, and sharp cheddar cheese. I added the cheddar strips when the Add beep came on the machine. It came out nice and fluffy. I used a one-pound loaf bread machine, but I cut this recipe in half, and it only came out a little caved-in in the middle, but otherwise, it worked out great. It almost tastes like Brazilian cheese bread. Very flavorful. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

  13. Love your recipes. I have a small bread machine and would love to have you put a one pound loaf size in with your recipes. Thank you.
