From time to time I come across interesting articles or websites that I think you’ll enjoy. I save them up until I have five, and then I share them with you.
Hillbilly Housewife Quick and Easy Garlic Breadsticks – My aunt Linda swears by this recipe.
Dry Fresh Herbs in 30 Seconds Flat – This handy hint from King Arthur will have you wondering, “Now why didn’t I think of that?”
Roadfood – Check out this site to see if your favorite restaurant has been featured.
A Treasury of Great Recipes, 50th Anniversary Edition: Famous Specialties of the World’s Foremost Restaurants Adapted for the American Kitchen – I got myself a copy of this book for Christmas. The book was originally published in 1965 and is by Vincent Price (yes, that Vincent Price) and his wife, Mary. I don’t know that I’ll ever make any of the recipes, but I love looking at all the photos, menus and reading about all the places they visited.
Have you heard of bread buckets? I find the subject fascinating! Bread buckets are an early version of the bread machine. Backwoods Home Magazine has a page with photos, recipes and instructions for bread buckets.
