I was blogging about my bread machine in Beetle Eyes, my other blog. I was rambling about how much I enjoy my bread machine (and I really do) when I remembered this bit about a toaster. It’s from Red Dwarf, the British science fiction comedy series.

1st LOAF:
It did not look quite right so I added cornmeal and started over at 1:43. It turned out flat and hard to eat. I chopped it up and let my best friends, Princess, German Sheperd mix: Jewel, a Dalmation mix: & Jasper, a MIX. Theyed all three loved the cornbread.
2nd LOAF:
Followed recipe explicitly, looked great when finished and the Toastmaster Bread Box was beeping it was done. Opened the micro wave to put my coffee in to warm up. To my dismay there sat the butter I had melted in a bowl to add to the mix after the cornmeal & flour were in so the milk did not reharden the butter. Oh well, just put the butter on a slice of the cornbread, my MRS. and I, and it is delicious.
3rd LOAF:
Is 15 minutes from fine’. It looks great, the top is domedand it looks GREAT, I’ll get back.
It looks, tastes and … great
